Das Kapital returned victorious from his first outing of the year, winning over a mile and a half at Chepstow in the hands of Thore Hammer Hansen following a 245-day break from the races.
A tall and rangey son of Cityscape, he has taken time to come to hand but he is a very genuine horse with scope to step up in distance and to go over hurdles in time. It was also really nice for Anthony Berry to lead up his first winner for his dad.
Das Kapital completed a good week for the stable, following a win for The Rocket Park on Sunday and an excellent run from Kryptos on his first try over 10 furlongs, in which he was beaten a neck and a nose in third at Chester on Friday. We look forward to all three returning to the track in the coming weeks.
Our next runner will be Hidden Pearl at Bath on Wednesday. She was beaten just a head at Catterick earlier this season and we hope she will be able to get that head out in front before too long.
